Where You Left Off

In the last lesson you learned one of the most important ideas in programming: variables.

In this lesson, you'll learn one of the other most important ideas: functions (Dave will call them "procedures").

Before you jump into learning about functions, the next three segments will let you see functions in action. You won't understand everything that's going on, but spend some time trying to understand the code you're about to see and it will help you prepare your brain for the rest of the lesson.
